Brief Biography

Dr. Ghanshyam Pandey is an esteemed academic in the field of economics. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, MP, India. Prior to this, he held the position of Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the Department of Economics, SRM University AP, from January 2020 to July 2024. Dr. Pandey’s research career includes a notable tenure as a Post Doctorate Research Associate at the ICAR National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi, where he worked from July 2017 to January 2020.

Dr. Pandey has led several significant projects, including studies on the PM Krishi Sinchai Yojna and tenancy and credit issues among farmers. His research contributions are well-documented in a range of high-impact journals. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications, including books and journal articles. In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Pandey is actively involved in organizing academic events and has served as a keynote speaker and chairperson at various national and international conferences. He has also played a pivotal role in organizing seminars and panel discussions on critical economic issues. Dr. Pandey’s commitment to academic excellence is further reflected in his editorial roles and his contributions as a reviewer for several prestigious journals. He is a life member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics and the Agricultural Economics Research Association.

Field of Interests

His research interests are broad and encompass agricultural economics, rural development, livelihoods, the economics of development, climate change, agriculture, and health economics.

1. PM Krishi Sinchai Yojna-A Step Towards the Achieve of Sustainable Goals: A Select area of AP, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra” sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science (ICSSR), New Delhi, as a Principal Investigator. The total outlay of project is INR 16 Lakhs for 6 months (Draft report submitted on 20th Feb 2024).
2. “Tenancy and Credit: Exploring Facts below the Crust in AP” Sponsored by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development” as a Principal Investigator. The outlay of the Project was INR 15 Lakhs for 10 months. (Completed June 2023).
