CIRDAP is pleased to organize a webinar on the outcomes of the CIRDAP–LDTA project titled: “Empowering Local Governments through Gender-Responsive Budgeting: Nepal Experience” on February 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM (Bangladesh) | 10:45 AM (Nepal).
TheLocal Development Training Academy (LDTA) is the esteemed link institute of CIRDAP in Nepal.

Gender-responsive budgeting (GRB), along with gender equality and social inclusion audits, is a powerful tool for advancing gender equality and inclusive governance at the local level. In line with the Gender-Responsive Budgeting Guideline, 2077 (Province and Local Levels) of Nepal, annual budgets and development programs are expected to ensure gender mainstreaming and equitable allocation of public resources.

To support this mandate, the Local Development Training Academy (LDTA), Nepal, conducted capacity-building training on gender-responsive budgeting for elected representatives and officials of Modi Rural Municipality, Sunwal Municipality, and Gramthan Rural Municipality.

This webinar will highlight:

  • Practical experiences from the field
  • Lessons learned from local governments in Nepal
  • The role of GRB in enhancing women’s participation and inclusive development
