CIRDAP organized an important webinar titled โLomani Gau: Community Based Climate Change Adaptation for Gau Island, Fijiโ on 27th July, 2023. Professor Dr. Joeli Veitayaki, former the Acting Campus Director at the USP Samoa Campus in Apia, Samoa presented this wonderful community based initiative at the virtual event.ย
The participants, experts and researchers from Bangladesh, IR Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Philippines etc. joined the webinar. Professor Veitayaki described the rural development processes overtime along with other community based initiatives and solutions such as state of the environment and major threats etc.ย
At the end of the webinar, there was an interesting and interactive discussions held amongst the participants and experts.
