Int. Training on Food Waste to Wealth: Post-Harvest to Market

The Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) in collaboration with the Nation Institute for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), SFIDA and APERDRI is organising an International Training Programme on Food Waste to Wealth: Post-Harvest to Market. Nominations are expected from CIRDAP member countries. The participants will be mid and senior-level government officials dealing with the theme of the programme. Official nominations should be come through CIRDAP contact ministry with the prescribed nomination form and sent to training@cirdap.org by 20 September 2018. Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Fellowship Programme 2018-19

The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme was instituted in 1964 for developing Human Recourse for the Government of India. Later on, its activities have also been associated with several regional and multilateral organizations and cooperation groupings like ASEAN, BIMSTEC, AARDO, MGC, etc. In connection with this, from 2013 CIRDAP also being affiliated with Government of India in ITEC Programme. The Indian Government have sponsored twenty (20) slots of this fellowship under CIRDAP Secretariat. Each year CIRDAP ambit different courses under this programme and offer fellowship for the Government Officials of its member countries. CIRDAP to Celebrate the 39th Founding Anniversary

Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) is going to celebrate its 39th Founding Anniversary on 18-19th July 2018 at the CIRDAP International Conference Centre (CICC), Dhaka. In marking the occasion, a two-day long programme including four technical sessions themed (i) Rising Bangladesh (ii) Digital Bangladesh: ICT in Rural Development (iii) Food Waste to Wealth and ((iv) Sustainable/Smart Rural Village Model will be held. H.E. Mr. Md. Mashiur Rahman Ranga, M.P. State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the Government of the Peoples of the Government of Bangladesh will attend the programme as the Chief guests. The programme will be attended by high level Diplomats from CIRDAP Member Countries, Government Officials of Bangladesh, Development Workers, Scholars from different organisations and institutions. The inaugural programme will start at 9.00 am on 18th June 2016 and will be followed by technical sessions at the CIRDAP International Conference Centre (CICC), Chameli House, 17 Topkhana Road, Dhaka 1000. The tentative programme schedule is attached for your information. For information, CIRDAP, a regional, inter-governmental and autonomous organisation, was established in July 6, 1979 at the initiative of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations with mandate to foster integrated rural development in the Asia-Pacific region promoting regional cooperation through research, pilot projects, training and dissemination of information. The member countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Fiji, India, Iran, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam and Headquarters located in Bangladesh.
