Yesterday (22nd April), CIRDAP organized a webinar titled “The Role of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) in the Integrated Sustainable Agricultural, Rural and Food Tourism Development”. The presentation was made by Associate Professor Dr. Ali KianiRad, Director General (Head), Agricultural Planning, Economic and Rural Development Research Institute (APERDI), Ministry of Agriculture Jahad (MAJ), Islamic Republic of Iran.

The honorable speaker talked about unique agricultural systems which contributes to the integrated rural development. Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) agricultural biodiversity, indigenous technology and practices, cultural identity and heritages, resilient ecosystems and traditional agricultural experiences.
